All who have been on our Basic Life Support courses will have heard of
‘The Chain of Survival’
those essential components which HAVE to link together if a Cardiac Arrest victim is to survive.
But, how many really know what it entails?
Our founder, Malcolm Robinson, has spent the last seven months making a two-part documentary film about the full history of our award-winning volunteer group from the day of his out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to the present day and now the first part of this film, ‘The Chain of Survival’, is posted on YouTube.
It tells the story, in vivid detail, of his own chain of survival from cardiac arrest from first to last link and it’s quite a journey!

Follow his story throughout his whole chain seeing exactly what happens from the moment of his collapsing ‘dead’ on a street corner to his remarkable full recovery, meeting some amazing and dedicated people along the way.
It’s best viewed on a TV or pc Monitor with a decent sound system.
On a mobile phone it’s best to use earphones.
We hope you find it interesting and, if so, please share this film as widely as you can.
The aim is to get as many people, anywhere, thinking that they should learn Basic Life Support techniques so that, should they ever need it, they can start a chain of survival moving and save someone’s life.
